1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the IngredIQ mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

IngredIQ provides AI-powered food ingredient analysis through barcode scanning and OCR label reading. The app analyses ingredients and provides verdicts (Safe, Moderate, Harmful) based on general food safety research and your personal health profile settings.

3. Not Medical Advice

IngredIQ is for informational purposes only. The ingredient analysis provided does NOT constitute medical, dietary, or professional health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary decisions, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, or specific dietary requirements. IngredIQ cannot guarantee the accuracy of ingredient information on all product labels.

4. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and managed by RevenueCat.
• Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period.
• You may cancel at any time through Google Play → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the API.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.
• Upload malicious content or images through the scanning feature.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property in the IngredIQ app are owned by or licensed to IngredIQ. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission. The AI-generated analysis results are provided for your personal use only.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

IngredIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that ingredient analysis will be 100% accurate. Ingredient information is sourced from AI models and third-party databases and may not reflect the most current formulations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IngredIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health decisions made based on our analysis results.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app. Upon termination, your right to use IngredIQ ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of IngredIQ after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
